Make the most of Creative Futures

To make the most of the programme please keep an open mind about the various sessions on offer.  Before attending, try to reflect on your current situation, think about potential gaps in your skills or knowledge and take the opportunity to hear about something new or different.

Additionally, please think carefully about questions you could ask the speakers in order to participate in this event fully. Here are just a few suggestions of questions you could ask:

  • What do you find most rewarding about your work / career?
  • Who inspired you when you were developing your practice / career?
  • Who are your key influences?
  • What is a typical day like for you?
  • What are the sources of satisfaction for you and what are the challenges in your career?
  • Can you suggest any professional or volunteer experience that would help me get into this field?
  • What kind of people would you say are successful in this type of role?
  • How did you get started in this field?
  • What advice would you give me to get started in this kind of work?
  • Are there other people you could refer me to that might be willing to give me their perspectives on this career?
